Summer relief in Zimbabwe

The relief goods were taken in when all hope was almost lost. Many people never thought that they could be reached with help.In Shurugwi it was so hopeless because even roads have been destroyed by rain and lack of maintenance. We struggled to reach Nyagari Village in Shurugwi. The car sunk in mud several times and some places we waited for hours for rivers to subside before crossing. When we finally reached the village it was great joy and people could not believe when we called them to come and receive maize meal which they had not seen in months. They could not hide their joy, others with tears. This has brought hope to these communities of Shurugwi,Chitungwiza and Wedza. The efforts have had a big social impact and the community is excited to know that there are people who care. The relief has had a spiritual impact as well as people have seen this as an expression of God's love through the church. There is great revival now in these communities now after delivery of this aid.We believe that the full results of this endeavour have not been seen yet.
